A 22-year-old pregnant woman was tragically shot dead after honking her car horn at a man in a car park.
The victim, Ava Woodcock, a mother of one, died on Tuesday, March 7, after the incident outside a restaurant in Glasgow, Kentucky.
According to reports, Ava had just arrived and was pulling into the car park when she honked her horn as a man crossed in front of her vehicle.
The suspect, Brandon Bond, allegedly responded by opening fire. The gunshots caused Ava’s car to roll forward before crashing.
Authorities say Bond fled the scene afterward and was uncooperative with police following his arrest.
He has since been charged with murder, first-degree fetal homicide, and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
In an emotional reaction, Ava’s mother, Amanda Eversole, shared a photo of the suspect on Facebook and expressed her grief and anger over the incident.
She wrote that her daughter had been taken from the family and said she would never forgive the man responsible.
Friends and members of the public have also shared messages of condolence, describing the incident as heartbreaking and senseless.
